The gymnastics icon was inquired about the same during a question-and-answer session she conducted on her Instagram stories. A fan was curious regarding what she knew about the sport, and asked her, “I’m curious about your knowledge on football before ur husband & now lol”. Simone Biles candidly replied to the question and said, “I had zero knowledge of football beforehand. LIKE ZERO.” further, referring to a special maneuver in football involving an interception and a touchdown, the gymnast revealed how far she had come since then.

She said, “I now know what a pick six is I’ve learned so much the past couple of years about the game. I’m so proud of myself”. While Simone Biles might not have been familiar with the game in the past, she was always seen supporting her partner at his football games. This probably contributed to her newfound knowledge of the sport. Nonetheless, her encouragement for her husband has never been deterred by any factor. When Jonathan Owens signed his $1.01 million contract with the Green Bay Packers, she was the first one besides the NFL safety to break the news on her social media.

Biles shared a picture of them together with her wearing the Packers’ green jersey. In the caption she wrote, “Slight wedding content intermission to say GO PACK GO. So proud of you baby! Here?s to new beginnings! Year 6! LFG!” When her husband made the decision to leave his home team, the Houston Texans, to join the Packers, Biles celebrated his decision by sharing green white, and yellow hearts in her Instagram stories. Biles, in fact, has been the biggest champion for her husband’s cause.

A sacrifice for the love of her life

After the Packers acquired Jonathan Owens, it was clear that he would go to Wisconsin to the home of the team and practice with his teammates. With the new season of the NFL coming up, and the obligations Owens had to meet, it was clear that the couple will have to cut down on their honeymoon plans. And Simone Biles, showing her commitment to her husband, gracefully decided along with her partner that they would take a short honeymoon.

The couple ultimately decided to go on a ‘mini-moon’. Simone Biles recently revealed in her question and answer session that they would decide on a time that suits both of their schedules later. She added, “we have to figure out timing with both of our schedules. we know where we want to go though!!!!!! just not sure when haha”. Hopefully, the power couple will be able to take much-deserved time off to rekindle their romance after the long separation due to their careers.
