Suni Lee keeps her spirits high and motivated despite suffering a lot due to a serious, debilitating illness.

The most decorated US female gymnast recently disclosed the difficulties she faced due to her terrifying kidney disease. On 16 November 2023, the 20-year-old world champion gymnast revealed that she had to deal with several discomforts that made her quite afraid. While revealing the unfortunate and terrifying illness, Sunisa disclosed that she gained around 45 pounds and her eyes got swollen. She could not even open her eyes due to this frightening disease.

However, after receiving the right medication for a few months, her health was ameliorated significantly. In a recent interview, Suni Lee claimed, “I’m feeling good.” The illness caused her to go off track from her gymnastics schedule, but at present, she is comparatively on the road to progress. She has her eyes set on the 2024 Olympics, without any intention of backing down.

Further, she added, “Sometimes you don’t think that you’re even capable of winning anymore”. She further added, “I feel like my mindset switched to the way it was before, where I’m like, okay, now I’m just competing for second”. Despite the struggle, she has developed a resilient mindset to persevere and engrave her mark by giving her best to secure the 2024 Olympics prize.
