Through a Twitter update shared by the USA Gymnastics official Twitter handle, the 2015 World all-around silver medalist confirmed this news. In a picture posted by USA Gymnastics, Douglas seemed training on a halfpipe and she replied with a bunch of side-eyes and smirking emojis, hinting that she might be participating in the event, when she was asked by a fan “Winter Cup?”

Winter Cup will be held in late February and some elite gymnasts will take part in the competition. However, the Olympic selection season will start with the U.S. Classic in May 2024.
