She earned her first medal at the 2010 US Junior National Championships.

Douglas’s career came to the limelight at the 2012 Olympics in London, where she etched her name in history and clinched the team gold medal. She said, “It is everything I thought it’d be.” She added, “It means so much. All the hard work and dedication and effort put in the gym and hard days.”
