On December 30, Gabby Douglas took to her IG story to stir up the much-augmented debate on her age. The 3X Olympic champion lifted the veil from her emotion of becoming another year older with a crying emoji and the caption, “28 tomorrow?!?!!?”.

“I didn’t want to end it that way. I never announced retirement”, she claimed to the Time Magazine podcast. Rather, the Olympics worked as a motivation for her. So she chose to join the monthly training camp of USA Gymnastics this year.
