Leanne often shared her gymnastics experiences with her mom while traveling for competitions.

Her mother had a remarkable memory and would remember these stories, which inspired them to think about eventually writing a book together. Leanne said, “Just going all the way back, she’s always said, ‘One day we’re going to write a book.’ I think just through that and just from the beginning, it’s just been a goal of mine, and my family’s.”

They gathered memories and details, with Leanne sharing her experiences and her mom adding stories from Leanne’s childhood and their family history. Their teamwork helped them gradually piece together the book, to tell the whole story. Meanwhile, Bee Ding not only helped with the book but acted as a major force behind her business.
