The men’s gymnastic realm has been blossoming in recent days, and the contribution of Yul Moldauer is huge in it. In the recently concluded Winter Cup 2024, the 27-year-old’s finesse earned him the all-around gold medal. Even from last year’s Pan American Championships, he walked home with four golds. Since his whizz to the top has garnered love and fame alike, he doesn’t just make appearances on the gymnastic mat to compete.
Since 1938, the YMCA National Gymnastics Championships has been running successfully. Now, it annually invites 1,800 gymnasts of all skill levels of USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic and YMCA competitors for boys and girls. As it kick starts in June 2024 with a grand opening ceremony planned, guess who’s the guest speaker?

On Friday, June 21, at Villanova University, the opening ceremony of the 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship & Invitational will be held. Yul Moldauer, one of the most decorated male gymnasts in the US, will take the stage as the guest speaker. To this news, Moldauer replied, “Super excited to be speaking at this amazing event!!! Thank you for inviting me and I cannot wait”. The tentative schedule says that the event will start at 3:30 pm, but the authority hasn’t confirmed.

Following the opening, the multi-day event will have the Grand March-In by State and Opening Ceremonies. Most gymnasts compete in this to visit the YMCA cities and make new gymnastic buddies. Now coming back to the 27-year-old’s events, he’s looking to make a mark before the Olympics rolls in.

What’s next for Moldauer?
Though the 2020 Summer Olympics team bronze medalist will be absent from the Baku World Cup roster, the next event will have him all his glory. According to recent news, alongside the Winter Cup 2024 silver medalist Shane Wiskus, the 2017 Worlds floor bronze medalist will vie for the title at the 2024 DTB Pokal Team Challenge and Mixed Cup. The event is scheduled for 15-17 March, in Stuttgart.

Moreover, ending the medal draught with his team at the 2023 WC, the 4x Winter Cup champ said, “If I was titling this year going into the Olympics the chapter name would be like the final push or something along these lines.” As he got the ball rolling already, it’s just a matter of 5 months to see how the Olympian performs at the marquee event.
