Simone Biles has kept up with her weird ritual after winning 3 gold medals in Paris. Biles, who came back to Paris after a dismal Tokyo outing looked determined to redeem herself. And surely enough, Biles did not disappoint. Right from the qualifiers, Simone Biles was looking at the song. As the tournament progressed, Biles began to improve further and propelled Team USA to their first Olympic gymnastics gold since Rio 2016. 

Nonetheless, behind all the hard work, Simone Biles also has a playful side to her. She is an out-and-out foodie and loves a typical American-style pepperoni pizza. As part of her weird ritual, Simone Biles always gorges on a pepperoni pizza after the end of each of her meets. And this was no exception in Paris. In a recently shared Instagram story, Biles posted a picture of a half-eaten pizza, signaling the fulfillment of her weird ritual. 

Biles captioned her story as “a true psychopath.” This was probably because of the manner in which she ate the pizza. As portrayed in the picture, the US gymnast queen ate the middle of the pizza while leaving out the slightly harder rim. As a matter of fact, Simone Biles has been vocal about her love for pizzas. Over the years, she pointed out several times that win or lose, she always likes to eat pizza in order to relieve her stress. In an interview with ABC News, Biles stated, “It doesn’t even matter if I don’t win a self-gold, after every meet I have pizza.” Well, while this was surely a lighthearted moment for Biles, the pizza episode was not the only time Biles was having fun in Paris. 

Simone Biles plans TikTok videos with Suni Lee

Celebrations after a hard-earned victory are quite common in athletes. However, for Simone Biles, making unique TikTok videos also seemed to be a part of the process. Moments after Biles and her team won the Team gold medals in Paris, the gymnastics GOAT, along with Suni Lee, were heard making plans for their new TikTok video. 

Initially, Biles ideated that they should do a video chomping on the gold medals. When that idea was approved by Suni Lee, the Tokyo gold medalist went on to propose another video idea. She said, “OK! And I want to do the one that says, ‘Imagine what we would do if we didn’t win.’” Interestingly, both the concepts materialized as the videos garnered a significant amount of traction after going live on air. 

Considering the tough journey Biles and Lee endeared to end up on the winning side of Paris, such celebrations are very much well deserved. While Biles had to fight her ‘twisties’, Lee overcame a kidney complication to etch her name in the golden history of Paris.
