As the race for spots in the Paris Olympics 2024 heats up, the gymnasts have been amping themselves up with full enthusiasm. After the first of four FIG Apparatus World Cup series 2024 in Cairo, now the gymnasts are all set to take the fight in the second competition in Cottbus, Germany from February 22–25. This will serve as the qualifying event which will pave the path for the gymnasts to chase their Olympic glory. One of the most decorated US artistic gymnasts, Khoi Young is also prepared for the upcoming event.

After showcasing his ascendancy in gymnastics, at the 2023 World Championships by winning one bronze and two silver medals, the Maryland gymnast is now aiming for the upcoming Olympic games in France’s capital, Paris.

To give a spectacular performance in the Cottbus edition Apparatus World Cup series, 21-year-old Khoi Young was astonished by the spectacular performance of the Peruvian National team gymnast just a day ahead of the epic Cottbus Showdown. Taking to his official Instagram account@ Khoi. Young, he re-shared a reel in which gymnast Nicolas Garfias performs the eye-catching flips on the high bar, captioning the story as “Still in disbelief.”

Nicolas left Khoi Young and other Olympic Gymnasts Rubén López in awe with his outstanding performance during training in Germany. The original post was shared by the co-founder of NTS Gymnastics Gianmarco Orbegozo. In the post, Gianmarco praised the cherishing response by Khoi Young and Rubén, mentioning the post as “Priceless reactions you guys @ Khoi.young and @xinso.” As the Cottbus second edition looms, Khoi Young is also putting in his valiant effort to accomplish his goal in the upcoming major events.

After establishing himself as a formidable gymnast, 2 time World silver medalist, Khoi Young has now headed for Germany. His aspiration is not limited to winning the World Cup titles in the annual four-competition Apparatus series, he also seeks to achieve a spot in the biggest games event in Paris in just over 5 months.

In a previous interview, Bowie native, Khoi Young disclosed his dream of competing in the Olympics. “This is something that’s a personal drive for me in all parts of my life: If I’m gonna do something, I want to do it in the best way possible. If I’m gonna do it, I want to be the best at it,” he said.

Khoi Young made his remarkable debut at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Belgium earning three medals. He won two silvers and a team bronze, which makes him the first American male gymnast in 20 years to achieve the feat. At the mere age of 20, he is the rising star for U.S. men’s gymnastics. Gearing for the Cottbus showdown, fans eagerly await to see Young excel.
