Ever wondered to what extent a fan can go to imitate their idol? Well, that’s an unanswerable question because fans are just fans! While there is absolutely no doubt that Simone Biles is one of the greatest gymnasts this generation has seen, she inspires fans immensely with her personality and performances. But her aura… it has a timeless magic that captivates people to be like her and one such wunderkind followed suit.

Remember those “quitter of the year” remarks that Simone Biles received for leaving Team USA in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics citing mental health issues and the twisties? Four years later, she came back stronger, still on top, conquering worlds, and making fans crazy. Recently, a fan named Glenn Titus shared an Instagram reel with caption, “@simonebiles How did I do? YOU ARE MY HERO GOOD LUCK AT TRIALS.”

Fan chime in with their two cents

After Glenn Titus shared the imitation video on Instagram, fans quickly jumped into the comment section. While there is absolutely no doubt that it was a difficult routine to perform, a fan wrote, “You did amazing! Your “beam” makes me nervous though.” Interestingly, Simone Biles’ balance beam has a difficulty score of 6.7.

“Dam these connects are everything. Fearless like Simone,” a fan compared Glenn with the 7x Olympic medalist. “The standing pike and triple turn sequence were amazing! You always make me excited to watch you!” another fan wrote. A standing pike and triple turn require stretchability and consistency. Another fan gave a suggestion, “You’re doing great, but just try to keep those legs straight and ties pointed. Keep up the good work.”

While it is noteworthy that the 7x Olympic medalist is well trained, a fan noted, “Pretty darn AWESOME! Simone would be proud. And with NO formal training or adequate equipment this was a superior performance! Well done!!” Another fan wrote, “Dude you have HOPS!!! Doing back step out layouts and back tucks on a piece of wobbly metal and then having rebound off the grass after your dismount is crazy!! So cool to watch.”

Glenn Titus’s caption wished Simone Biles well for the upcoming US Olympic Gymnastics Trials. The 27-year-old gymnast last won gold in the Olympics in the 2016 Rio Games. While she is certain to qualify for the Paris Games, it will be interesting to see if she can win a gold this time! What are your thoughts on this? Comment it down below!
