The most decorated gymnast in history, Simone Biles, has made a big impact in this field by emphasizing authenticity and standing by companies that share her values. Notably, she decided to break away from the multinational behemoth Nike in favor of a regional brand that was gaining traction in the market.

The seven-time Olympian unexpectedly disclosed about giving up gymnastics entirely in an interview earlier this week. But in the middle of thinking about her career, Biles finds herself taking on exciting new responsibilities.

Simone Biles reunites with sponsor brand

Biles often addresses issues of mental health, body image, and the value of individuality which has reverberated far beyond the mats. In 2021, she ditched Nike for Athleta, Gap Inc.’s athletic apparel brand. Biles took to her Instagram to announce her recent collab with Athleta in an Instagram post. She captioned the fun video, “Making magic happen on set with Athleta. For me, this holiday season is all about embracing the moment with looks that let me stay on point and present.“?

The video showed the happy-go-lucky side of Biles in different gym-wear sets while she posed in each one. Her husband Jonathan Owens who is currently playing in NFL dropped few heart eyes emoji showing his unwavering support for Biles. Earlier this week Simone told People: ?This campaign is so special because it focuses on me as a person and not just as an athlete.?

The Olympics gold medalist added, ?Ever since I joined forces with Athleta back in 2021, it has been incredibly meaningful.??Rather than sharing why she left Nike, Biles was all praises about her new brand in 2021 saying, ?I admire Athleta for their commitment to recognize and support women?s individual and collective strength and, together.? And in the recent interview the gymnast had some career-related revelations which shocked the community.

The thought of quitting gymnastics

As she discussed her incredible accomplishment of 37 Worlds and Olympic titles with PEOPLE, Biles said, ?It honestly feels amazing to return to competition, I never thought I would compete again so this is a blessing.? The gymnast continued by recalling fond memories and said, ?My favorite moment has been competing alongside my WCC teammates.?
