Simone Biles seems to have made it a habit to never slow down! Whether she’s defying the boundaries of longevity in her sport or redefining gymnastics itself, there is no queen quite like Biles. Following her triumphant return at the Paris Olympics, Biles has been on her Gold Over America Tour, known for its notoriously tight schedule. But when has a packed schedule ever slowed her down? Amidst it all, Biles found time to do something special—the Los Angeles premiere of Rising Part 2!
On October 25, the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood celebrated the queen of gymnastics, as Simone Biles’ story took center stage on the big screen. As if leading a 32-city tour across the U.S. wasn’t enough, Biles went above and beyond, embodying the resilience and passion that fans admire. Now, with the premiere behind her, she’s back on the road, celebrating the sport she loves with a community that shares her dedication. On October 27, the tour resumed in Cleveland—and speaking of comebacks, there’s a special someone joining her this time!

After the one-week break in the meticulously crafted Gold Over America Tour schedule, it is back on the road yet again. Gk Elite recently took it to Instagram to give them fandom updates on the tour. The story saw a picture of Brody Malone and Riley Loos on the tour bus. But another familiar face also joined in the pictures. The face of familiarity is none other than an old member of the Simone Biles GOAT roster, Donnell Whittenburg. The caption read, “Gang is back after our break! Ready for the show tonight @goldoveramericatour.” But it wasn’t just any ordinary show for Simone; it was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of moment!

As the world already knows, Whittenburg around two weeks ago had to unexpectedly leave the tour. He took it to Instagram and wrote, “Sometimes, life throws unexpected challenges our way, You really never know, what to expect, but there’s a reason for everything. Unfortunately, I got hurt on the tour . It’s tough to step away, especially all the work I put in. But health comes first.” Health absolutely comes first, but Whittenburg seems to have broken his own words to spend some more time with the GOAT.
Donnell Whittenburg, despite being on crutches, wasn’t about to miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to join Biles and the rest of the team on their journey across America. The seven-day break from the GOAT tour seems to have given Whittenburg some time to relax and regain energy. And as soon as he did, he joined the team to experience the camaraderie and, of course, the Biles magic. That being said, the stop in Cleveland seems to have a bigger purpose than just spending time with Biles. The tour might be back with its music and glam, but there’s a sense that the clock is ticking.

Recently, during Biles’ stop in Texas, things got emotional. Texas, of course, is a state close to her heart for many reasons. Her childhood, her marriage to Johnathan Owens, and even the launch of her first restaurant. So it is only apt she took it to Instagram to share an update with the fandom. “Only a few more stops left,” she wrote, counting down the numbered days. The tour will hit Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati before concluding on November 3rd. And with her team by her side, the end of the tour feels even more poignant. It may be the end of the “Gold Over America Tour,” but for Biles, this GOAT story is far from over.
