During his fiasco with his mother, many in the Philippines felt that he was acting disrespectfully towards her, adding to his trolling. However, Chloe stood by the gymnast’s side and defended him on social media. This seemed to be surprising to the public, as they felt Chloe shouldn’t take his side until she became his wife.

She said, ” I’m just his girlfriend. It’s like, wait a minute. You’re not his wife, but you’re the one who’s fighting for him. I’m just really standing up.” But, despite all this noise from the trolls, Carlos Yulo’s girlfriend plans to continue defending him. This is because she feels that he’s not doing enough to respond to the haters. “I can’t see that he’s doing that. To me, it’s not okay. That’s wrong.” she said. Chloe also felt that people misinterpreted her stance.

But according to her, she’s only defending somebody she loves. “I’m just telling the truth.” said the streamer. However, this stance has not decreased the trolling at all. In fact, the people who criticized her have gone even further and stated that she is associating herself with Carlos Yulo as she is fame-hungry.
