Worth over 11 billion dollars, WME is one of the leading talent agencies. The company?s sports division, WME Sports, has handled top-tier stars including Novak Djokovic and tennis legend Serena Williams. However, after the NIL rule change in 2021, the company also welcomed millionaire gymnast Olivia Dunne.

Recently, the agency added another top-tier gymnast to its growing roster. On Thursday, WME announced the signing of three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas. The athlete, who?s currently trying to make a comeback for the big games held in Paris next year, also joined in on the announcement of her new journey.

After declaring her return to gymnastics, Gabby Douglas signed a deal with the WME agency. On July 26, Douglas, in collaboration with WME Sports, posted a poster photo of the athlete joining the agency. In the caption, the agency, proud to add another top-tier athlete to their company, stated, WME Sports is proud to announce that they have signed three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas. Further, the company wrote a long note about the athlete?s achievements in gymnastics and also about her comeback to the mat. Lastly, the agency ended the note by stating, “Welcome to the family, Gabby!”

Only after one day of signing collegiate golfer Yana Wilson, the agency announced Gabby’s signing. The athlete is signed by the WME for full representation. Interestingly, the billion-dollar company will handle the gymnasts’ careers in all aspects, including future partnerships, speaking events, podcasts, and books released by Douglas. The 27-year-old Gabby Douglas is currently aiming to make a comeback in elite gymnastics.

After a long hiatus from gymnastics, on July 13, Douglas announced on Instagram that she would participate in the Paris Olympics 2024. The athlete who created history by becoming the first African American gymnast to win an Olympics in the all-around individual event stated that after journaling and finding herself, she?s ready to find joy in gymnastics again.

However, securing her ticket for Team USA will be a harder challenge for Douglas this time. The athlete herself has acknowledged the odds stacked up against her, as since 1972, no gymnast crossing the age of 20 has secured gold in the all-around event. But the athlete revealed in her comeback announcement that she?s excited and ready to give her best.

Although the athlete?s future in the Olympics has not been decided yet, but signing a deal with WME indicates that Gabby Douglas is ready to get back in the game for good. Hopefully, Douglas will grow and reach her best potential in her sports with the agency.
