In a ceremony that was as gorgeous and emotional as it was lavish, two exceptional people tied the knot together on the 6th of May. Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and NFL safety Jonathan Owens promised to have and hold each other forever. The ceremony was held in Cabo, Mexico, in front of 144 guests. The nuptial ceremony of the two athletes seemed like a carefully curated event, and it was so perfect that it almost seemed too good to be true.

From meeting on a dating app called Raya to a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal, to a dreamy wedding that would be the envy of anyone, their love story has been one to root for. And while it was a dream come true for the couple, who have been dating since 2020, it is no surprise that they would be absolutely exhausted after such an extreme rush. However, it is not over yet, and Biles and Owens are on the move again.

Celebration is not over yet for Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens

It was evident that all the attendees had a good time, especially the bride and the groom, who were all smiles on their big day. But all good things come to an end, and so did the wedding weekend of the power couple. After a ginormous ceremony and an even bigger after-wedding party, the couple had to head back home. This was definitely not easy on Biles, and she posted a picture of her crying on her Instagram stories.

The photo was accompanied by the text, “bawled my eyes out leaving cabo. we had the most beautiful wedding. I miss it already.”

Just before Biles gave this emotional update to her fans, she shared a screenshot of her alarm clock and revealed that she and her husband were only home for three hours, after which they would leave again to an undisclosed location. Where could the couple be going? It is only logical to assume that their stunning wedding would be followed by a gorgeous honeymoon.

Simone Biles also shared a meme on her Twitter, which talked about leaving home after almost no sleep. She followed this with another update on her Instagram stories, which featured Simone Biles and her husband sitting in a plane, and she wrote, “& we’re off again”.

Clearly, Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles are catching a plane to somewhere. This mysterious honeymoon destination is anyone’s guess.

An astounding wedding followed by a special honeymoon

Way back in 2022 when Biles and Owens got engaged, during a Q&A session with fans, Simone Biles revealed her dream honeymoon. Biles has always been vocal about her immense love for beaches, and she revealed that she has always wanted to go to Bora Bora. Simone Biles might have dreamt of an elaborate honeymoon with her beau, but unfortunately, her plans were cut short.

Because of the upcoming football season, Biles and Owens will have to cut their honeymoon short. Instead of a full-fledged, long vacation, Simone Biles will go on a short, albeit romantic, trip with her husband.
