The NFL season 2023 is just a couple of months away. In anticipation of the upcoming season, NFL safety Jonathan Owens has been at the Green Bay Packers training camp, preparing for the same. With Simone Biles in Texas and Owens all the way in Wisconsin, the couple has been making the dream work long distance. Unfortunately, the newly married couple had to separate soon after their marriage and a short and sweet honeymoon. But they have found a way to steer clear of separation blues.
For now, the athletic power couple has decided to make it work through FaceTime dates. With their busy schedules, meeting every day is not an option. Therefore, their virtual connection is filling in the gap. Simone Biles took to her Instagram stories to share a screenshot of her and her husband’s latest FaceTime date. In the story, she wrote, “facetime dates will do for now i love you so much. good luck at camp. year 6. let’s go!” While they might have found a temporary solution to the unfortunate problem, biles has still come forwards to express some concerns emerging from their remoteness from each other.
After announcing her comeback, Simone Biles has been training in full swing. Her busy schedule has made her worried that she might not be able to take ample time out to be a part of the cheer squad for Jonathan Owens when his games actually start. When she did a question-answer session with her fans, the same question came forward. She replied by saying, “I?m going to go to as many as my schedule allows. We were actually trying to figure this out yesterday. Green Bay is tough bc there are no direct flights for us. I?m also afraid of the open dome / cold weather.”?It will be interesting to see how the couple navigates the road ahead.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder
After a long hiatus, Simone Biles will be taking the first step into competitive gymnastics through the US Classic on August 5, 2023. While she has been putting the pieces of her mental health back together, it is time for her to face the music once again. The legendary status of the 7-time Olympic medalist will ensure that the expectations are high when it comes to the gymnast.
