On January 15th, Simone Biles attended a multigenerational workout class at an Athleta store in Houston. The gymnastics icon expressed her appreciation for the event, especially the premise of bringing mothers and daughters together.

Biles took the opportunity to share what her mom means to her. In an interview with People, the Olympian gymnast shared that her parents are her ?role models in many ways.? Talking about her mom?s pivotal part in her life, she said, ?I couldn’t be more grateful for her support.?

Biles added, ?My mom gives me advice on everything.? Expressing her thankfulness to her mom for being her pillar of strength ?from school to gym and everywhere in between,? Biles highlighted her mother?s unconditional love and care for her. Although her mom couldn?t make it to the dance event, watching the moms and daughters shake a leg and have fun, brought back memories of her childhood.

?It?s all about a community of women and girls supporting each other,? she said. To extend her support to her favorite dance instructor, Jenny, she made a surprise visit to the dance class at the Athleta store. ?The energy in the room was great,? she stated gleefully.
