In the new highlight, the gymnastic star added an adorable family photo having her grandfather on the left side. Alongside the image, Chiles expresses disbelief, saying, “I feel like this is all just a dream… but it’s not. I can’t believe you’re gone, Grandpa. I love you so much,” (crying & red heart emojis.)”

With this, the other reposted stories on her account by Gina Chiles reveal that Chiles’s grandfather passed away at 8:44 pm. The sudden news has shaken the sports world and Chiles’s family. The contrast is a bitter truth. As, just two days prior, Chiles had shared updates about her grandfather’s illness, and now, he is no longer with us. Here’s what she added.

The American gymnast addressed her fans by quoting, “Although I spent my Thanksgiving at the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade and now in the hospital for my grandpa… I just wanted to say I’m thankful for all my friends and family members.” In the true Thanksgiving spirit, Jordan Chiles kicked off by giving a shout-out to her supporters, mixing gratitude with her own struggles.
