Life can become dull with a lack of exciting things to do. So it can become important to try your hands at new things that allow you to feel the thrill. That’s exactly what the gymnastics stars of the country seem to be doing as they prepare to bring the fans another round of high-flying action over the coming months. As the Gold Over America Tour waits to hit the road across the USA, its participants are keeping energy levels high by exploring other domains.

The 2024 Paris Olympics brought incredible exposure to breakdancing as a sport. Breaking connoisseurs were elated to see their beloved activity being given the representation upon the grandest stage. While the antics of Australian breakdancer Raygun continue to divide the community, it looks like G. O. A. T gymnasts aren’t afraid to bring their unique take on the sport candidly.

Four-time NCAA team gold medalist Ian Gunther posted a lighthearted update on Instagram on September 13 to showcase how his buddies are keeping themselves entertained. The Gold Over America Tour will kick off its journey from Oceanside this Monday, and naturally, Gunther and the others have a lot on their plates. But that isn’t stopping them from having fun. From Olympians Fred Richard and Paul Juda to UCLA Bruins star Peng-Peng Lee, the G. O. A. T. stars can be seen having a blast as they dish out their best-breaking performances. However, not everyone might be suited to consider breakdancing as a viable career option. While two-time World Championships medalist Yul Moldauer seems to use his gymnastics skills to perfection as he tries breakdancing, his Canadian colleague Ellie Black can’t say the same. Richard and Gunther, on the other hand, reached deep into their bag of tricks and brought out spectacular moves that would make breaking fans feel proud.

However, the same cannot be said for Gunther’s ex-Stanford teammate and Olympic medalist Brody Malone. While the 24-year-old does like to step over to unknown pastures from time to time, his breakdancing skills aren’t as good as his prowess upon the horizontal bars. Juda also had to lay the blame on not having tried breaking before as an excuse for his shambling performance. While the gymnasts ponder their chances of an alternate career option, the Gold Over America Tour is shaping up to be something truly incredible.
