Home/Olympics

Unlike many other American elite gymnasts, Jade Carey wears her roots in college gymnastics emphatically. The Olympic floor exercise champion never missed out on her college gymnastics while keeping a foot on the elite gymnastics. Carey claimed the good lessons she received from Oregon State University helped her to overcome pressure. She stated that she definitely hopes to be an example to other gymnasts out there and that one can do both! So, on the matter of being an epitome, Jade Carey holds no bar. Recently, that iron-hard mindset came into the limelight when the 23-year-old reinforced the OSU main stage again. This time, she was not a competitor but a luminary in gymnastics.

Jade Carey voices her stand

The choice of being the Beaver junior captivated Jade Carey. The gymnastics camp seemed to be her home since she set foot there. Moreover, the presence of her dad in the camp gave her a window to express herself. Recently, the junior shared an IG story of the National Girls and Women’s in Sports Day celebration at OSU. Naturally, being the unrivaled achiever of the camp, Jade Carey was in her motivational mode in the event. Building Beavs, on that form, captioned the commemorating IG post with, “Such a great way to explore sport, community and female empowerment! Our female student-athletes loved learning and engaging with the future of women’s sport.”

The satisfied OSU legend could only write “an amazing night celebrating powerful girls & woman” in her IG story. Not only this time but on previous occasions as well, Jade Carey has stood firmly by her decisions. After the Tokyo Olympics, the Phoenix-native gymnast was ready to try her NCAA and elite gymnastics schedule with the same momentum. But feeling the nearing breakdown, Jade had resented trying her floor exercise. Eventually, the OSU camp maintained the same mindset as well. Meanwhile, there were larger stakes generating insecurities of missing the Olympic turf. But Jade handled that pretty mindfully.

Taking empowered steps toward maintaining both sides

Last year, in NCAA gymnastics, Jade Carey became the top-ranked all-around athlete. But at the elite level, she had to face constraints. In the US Classic, the gymnast felt heartbroken after slipping to the 15th position in all-around. But for an empowered sporting persona, turning back was just a matter of time. So eventually, she presented back-to-back outstanding performances in the Pan American Games and World Championship. With that, Jade Carey concluded the year with the Winter Cup victory.
