In the heart of Sportpaleis, time seemed to stand still as the world collectively held its breath in anticipation. The podium was moments away from welcoming the names of three extraordinary gymnasts, the All-Around winners of the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Simone Biles, seated beside her teammate Shilese Jones, and her coach, Cécile Landi, paced and waited anxiously for the results. Then, the arena erupted in thunderous applause and cheers.

Biles won gold with a remarkable score of 58.399 in the final standings. Rebeca Andrade, of Brazil, claimed the silver with a score of 56.766. USA’s Shilese Jones secured the bronze with a score of 56.332. Biles seized her sixth All-Around title, becoming the first female gymnast to do so. With an astonishing tally of 34 world and Olympic medals, she is now the most decorated gymnast in history.
