It’s not every day you get a special gift from one of your favorite pop icons. In fact, most of us won’t ever receive gifts from our idols. However, Jordan Chiles is an icon in her own right, and even Queen Bey Beyoncé is a fan of the Olympic medalist. That didn’t stop the 23-year-old, bound for Paris, from freaking out when she unpacked her gift.
The multiple-time Grammy Award winner sent Jordan Chiles a box with the Cowboy Carter album cover. However, it wasn’t an ordinary cover, as Beyoncé herself had signed it with a good luck note for the gymnast set to represent America at the Paris Olympics. “Congratulation to you queen. I always watch you with pride and admiration,” Beyonce wrote on the cover. However, the praise didn’t end there.
“Thank you for repping us. Good luck to you! All your hard work and sacrifices shine bright,” wrote the pop star. However, the ultimate prize came when the Grammy award winner addressed herself as Jordan Chile’s twin. “Praying for you and wishing you the best. Love, your twin, Beyonce,” added the 42-year-old. Needless to say, Chiles could barely keep it together as she shared “Ahhhhh!!! I’m screaming right now. Yall Beyonce sent me this and I’m crying!!!” in her Instagram story.

However, the die-hard Beyonce fan truly seems to share a connection with Queen Bey. Chile’s Instagram story comes less than a day after an exclusive interview with Aly Raisman. During the interview, Raisman asked Chiles about what the Beyonce song ‘I’m That Girl’ means to the world championships gold medalist. Jordan Chiles said the song acted as a mirror for her.
The song from Beyonce’s 2022 album Renaissance helped Chiles relate to the pop icon’s journey. Just like Beyonce, fame steered her course since she started earning accolades in gymnastics at a young age. While ‘I’m That Girl’ taught her to embrace fame, it also helped her realize that she also needed to let herself breathe from time to time. However, this is one of the many times Jordan Chiles has referenced or paid tribute to her icon.

The 23-year-old Olympian doesn’t miss any opportunities to pay tribute to her favorite singer-songwriter. During the 2024 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships Jordan Chiles didn’t just use the pop star’s tracks frame Renaissance as part of her routine, she even wore a Beyonce-inspired leotard. Designed by GK Elite, the leo combined the colors of an outfit Queen Bey donned during her album tour.
Jordan Chiles showed the same excitement when she attended a Beyoncé concert last year and hyped up ‘RENAISSANCE: A Film by Beyoncé,’ released on December 1, 2023. The 23-year-old shared the trailer almost as soon as it came out in November 2023. However, this time, the 32-time Grammy winner became the hype woman for her dedicated fan. Queen Bey’s special gift is sure to boost the gymnast’s confidence.
