The 2024 Paris Olympics success seems to have given Team USA’s ‘Clark Kent‘ a launchpad to superstardom. Yes, we’re talking about none other than, the Pommel Horse specialist— Stephen Nedoroscik. 15.300 for an individual pommel horse bronze, while a top-notch 14.866 for him to have sealed the same fate for America in the team finals. And from there, his career took the most unanticipated turns.

As Nedoroscik warms up to break a leg at season 33 of ‘Dancing with the Stars (DWTS),’ this must feel different from the usual pre-performance rituals he’s accustomed to. But before he steps into that spotlight, he recently got to walk down the red carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards. When asked about his gymnastic endeavors, he shot off a sincere confession.

Stephen Nedoroscik is keen on resuming his tumbling activities

In a YouTube short uploaded by USA Today Entertainment, Stephen Nedoroscik is seen answering what’s next on the gymnastics roster for the 25-year-old. His response to what life has been like post-Olympics exhibits how eager he is to get back on the apparatus. “I mean, post-Olympics I just want to continue to do the same thing that I’ve been doing,” he confesses, adding that he has no strategic shifts on his mind post the mega win.

“I want to go back to gymnastics and enjoy life, enjoy what I do, and that’s basically it” his passion for the posts comes alive through his words. September 17, is when the DWTS season premieres for which Nedoroscik headed to New York from Sarasota a few days back. Thus for the time being, Nedoroscik hopes to relish his gymnastics fad via the dance event, for he told Good Morning America a few days back, “I want to bring some flares, I want to bring some of that gymnastics. Maybe a backflip or handstand. I want to have fun with it.”

Meanwhile, the rest of his compatriots from Paris, along with Simone Biles & Co., have already jumped back into the gym for the Gold Over America Tour. However, resuming gymnastics activities doesn’t seem to be on the horizon for Nedoroscik, as he continues to revel in his newfound stardom. Recently, the Penn State star took the stage to present an Emmy alongside Ezra Frech, Caeleb Dressel, and Ilona Maher. According to his dance partner, he has also been dedicated to perfecting his choreography.

Rylee Arnold will have the opportunity to pair up with the star gymnast for the show, and that comes across as a definite boon for her. Speaking to Joe Vulpis on the Lightweights Podcast, Rylee said, “He knows that it’s not going to be super easy right off the bat he knows, he’s going to have to put in the work, he’s going to put in extra time.” But tall challenges hardly give Stephen Nedoroscik cold feet!

Remember when it was the final rotation of the Team finals at the Paris Olympics, and it was Nedoroscik’s flawless and collected routine that sailed the Americans past the finish? The professional dancer confesses that he’s often skimming through rehearsal videos too, to iron out the finest of wrinkles in his performance. “He’ll point out things and I’m like wait I didn’t know you messed that up, but like good catch,” his eye for details is sharper than Rylee’s at times.

Although sometimes, he can go a bit overboard, she confesses. “But it’s to the point where it’s just like he’s hard on himself and I’m just like just do it. Just let it out and dance it and it’ll come when it needs to.” It looks like he will surely get into the groove soon, but at heart, he’s a gymnastics diehard and that trumpeted through his words today.
