Earlier this year in May, Tara received the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumor. This shocking news suddenly prompted the Metzler-Armento family to reevaluate their priorities and focus on health and well-being like never before. Determined to overcome this adversity, Tara has already undergone surgery and commenced treatment at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she is courageously participating in groundbreaking clinical trials at Lenox Hill Hospital. This forces her to make frequent trips to New York, and that can often become expensive.

Recognizing the mounting costs tied to her medical battle, Tara’s close friend, Lauren Delaney, took it upon herself to create a GoFundMe campaign to aid the family during these challenging times. In a heartwarming show of solidarity, the community responded swiftly and generously. Since the campaign’s launch on June 26, an astounding amount of over $47,000 has been raised, demonstrating the power of a community united in love and compassion.

The outpouring of support emphasizes the profound impact she and her family have had on Downingtown. According to a Vista.Today report, Delaney said,??Today, we have the opportunity to give back and show our unwavering support.??The American Cancer Society’s latest estimates for 2023 provide a glimpse into the incidence and impact of these tumors affecting both adults and children in the United States.
