Aly Raisman announced her retirement back in 2020 following a glorious career. Ever since then, the icon has taken on numerous roles, inclusive of that of an author and a trainer at Camp Woodward. Today, yet again, the role of a ‘Gymnastics analyst’ awaits Raisman at ESPN as she enters a new chapter of her life. And in doing so, LSU vs Kentucky on Friday will mark the 29-year-old’s debut in her newest job designation. An update she revealed via a click with Olivia Dunne and the LSU team together.

“Stay tuned for Aly Raisman and the Tigers on SEC Network tomorrow night,” the gymnast’s shared Instagram story read. Her further posts also offered a glimpse of the Olympian’s presence at the LSU gymnasium, meeting up with the athletes. With Olivia Dunne, the LSU fame, largely participating in the meets to live her senior year, the circumstance offers a meet-up possibility. Years of experience as a gymnast or not, the 3-time Olympic gold medalist holds nervousness and excitement in equal amounts for her first day on the job.

The Olympian expresses jitters and vacillation over her new role

ESPN on Thursday announced that Aly Raisman would be joining the team as an NCAA gymnastics analyst alongside fellow Olympian John Roethlisberger. I’m so excited,” Raisman told PEOPLE. If I’m being honest, I’m also very nervous because I want to do a good job.” While the role is an uncharted territory for the Olympian, it is still an excitement for her to be involved in the sport that dictated her recognition.
