The 2023-24 season of NCAA Gymnastics is progressing with some tough competition. It isn’t uncommon for teams to lose an entire match just by the difference of a few decimal points. However, despite facing a near or sure defeat, some gymnasts make it a point to deliver a starry performance each time they step up.
A similar case was seen in the Arizona versus Arizona State matchup when the two universities yielded a close call result. Although the Arizona Wildcats lost the match to ASU, one of their gymnastics stars kept the Sun Devils on their toes. In fact, she even ended up repeating her best performance of the season to make her team win.

Ranked at number 17, the Wildcats faced off against the 20th-ranking ASU. While the Wildcats had managed to eclipse the Sun Devils in their previous match, ASU settled the score this time. Despite the numbers game not favoring Arizona, Caroline Herry didn’t waver from delivering her best possible output.
Interestingly, Herry’s score in flore exercises was just 0.50 points less than her career best. The Arizona senior also contributed a whopping 9.825 points on the balance beam. Sadly, however, when the final points were noted down, ASU’s gymnastics team clinched the match with a difference of just 0.600.
