While Biles has not come forward to explicitly say anything concrete about the situation, she has found another way to express her fealty. In the Selena Gomez and Kylie-Hailey tiff, the gymnast queen is apparently on Gomez’s side. She recently posted a picture on Instagram with a chic outfit and the caption, “heart wants what it wants”. The fans are happy with her choice, and one even commented, “BOOYA BABY ?”.

The caption seems to be a blatant reference to Selena Gomez’s 2014 song, The Heart Wants What It Wants from the album For You. Biles’s Instagram followers immediately recognized the reference and were happy that one of their icons was supporting another of their icons. One fan commented, “So what you?re saying is you?re Team Selena.” There were many cheers, with one follower writing, “TEAM SELENA WOOHOO.” Someone also labeled Biles as “A SELENA STAN.”

Biles once made the difficult decision to drop out of the Tokyo Olympics so she could focus on her mental health. Likewise, Selena Gomez has always been outspoken about her personal mental health struggles as well. Therefore, it does not come as a surprise that Biles would relate to Gomez on some level. Gomez became the center of this controversy when Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber allegedly mocked her by posting on certain social media channels.

While all the parties involved have denied the existence of any such tension, the fans have still interpreted the social media posts in a certain manner. Whether there was truly any mocking or not, the public has spoken in support of Gomez. Now, it seems like Biles has also joined that mix too.
