Simone Biles, a recognizable artistic gymnast, made modern-day history in Antwerp at the World Gymnastics Championships. Returning to the same place where she made her debut 10 years ago, the phenomenal force to be reckoned with clinched five medals, four of which were gold. What was also proof of her full circle moment was the fact that 10 years ago she had her first skill named after, and returning in 2023 to the very same place, she clinched her fifth element, ?Biles II? on vault.
Biles?returned, becoming the most decorated gymnast ever and thus proving her dominance in gymnastics. She also expressed her gratitude and delivered a heartfelt message upon her return. And now, following in the footsteps of Biles, the highest-paid NCAA young female athlete and LSU gymnast, Olivia Dunne, has mirrored the gymnastic queen with a bold and uncanny connection, one that is bound to give Biles a run for her money.

Dunne, the TikTok queen, shared a heartwarming video with her 7.8 million followers. Livvy shared a slideshow of three images. In the first one, Livvy, dressed in a purple and black leotard, was captured in action on the gymnastics floor mid-routine, and her caption read, ?I can?t fail her?. Then the next image showed Livvy gearing up in the gymnasium in a purple leotard, and the caption read, ?Fail who??. The third held the answer to this question.
The third picture was a wholesome throwback image of Olivia as a child in a cute pink and white leotard, holding up her first award in gymnastics with a huge smile on her face. The caption read, ?Her.? She also wrote in the caption of her post, “Doin it for her:)”. This endearing video was a testament of the dedication and passion Livvy has had for gymnastics since she was a child. This bold and heartfelt statement was also uncanny, and similar to Simone Biles, the legend of the sport.
The uncanny connection to Simone Biles
Biles dominated the world stage in Antwerp just weeks ago. She helped Team USA win their seventh consecutive gold. She then won her sixth all-around title and tied with Japan?s legend K?hei Uchimura for the most all-around world titles. She even won her sixth world title on floor exercise and became the first gymnast to ever do so. If that wasn?t enough, she also secured a gold medal for uneven bars and a silver medal for vault as well.
Her stellar performance in Antwerp proved why the seven-time Olympian and reigning World Champion were the GOAT of gymnastics. Returning to America and being the ever-humble legend she is, she took to Instagram to express her gratitude and delivered a heartfelt message, writing, ?I?m speechless. I?m honored. I?m excited, and I?m blessed! Doing it for the little girl who fell in love with the sport!”. Biles first stepped on the gymnastics floor at the tender age of 6 and started training by 8. Now, that same young girl has become the poster child of excellence in the sport.
