The debate about the true third-place winner of the women’s vault final in Paris is still in jeopardy. Revealing the dark state of mind she was in, Jordan Chiles is slowly recovering from the initial shock of being deprived of an Olympic medal. Amidst the whirlwind of the Gold Over America Tour, Jordan Chiles shared a thrilling social media update, showing her enjoying her time on the road. The Olympic gold medalist took on a vault variation that featured an impressive double twist in the air before sticking the final landing.

As a matter of fact, this was not the usual vault routine that Chiles attempts in competitions. Teasing the addition of a potentially new move to her arsenal, Chiles wrote on her Instagram story, “A skill I never got to compete.” Chiles then went on to pay tribute to the great sport that she is a part of saying, “Happy nation gymnastics day!!!!” Watching the 23-year-old get back to doing her favorite sport is surely a positive sign for her fans. 

After being asked to return her medal following the Paris Olympics, Chiles retreated into a shell. She briefly cut off her social ties until she started attending MLB and NFL games. Recently, Chiles joined the ranks of elite athletes by making the ceremonial first pitch for the Mets. She was later seen enjoying the excitement at the WNBA game between the Liberty and the Aces. After the Liberty’s victory, Chiles spent some quality time with WNBA icon Sabrina Ionescu.

Currently competing in the Gold Over America Tour, Chiles has already delivered a series of electrifying performances. Engrossed in captivating fans across the country, she hasn’t forgotten to enjoy the journey. In a surprising revelation, the Olympian shared that she got her third tattoo after their performance in Arizona. While everything might seem rosy, Team USA and Chiles are far from giving up on their Olympic medal fight.

Jordan Chiles takes her Paris controversy to the court 

After the change of decision from the CAS, it looked like Chiles would have to be content with only the Team gold medal in Paris. However, in mid-August, Team USA came up with alleged video evidence. They claimed the video contained evidence that Cecile Landi submitted the inquiry within the specified timeframe. Now, taking the case to the Swiss Federal Tribunal, Jordan Chiles and Team USA are still holding out hope for a positive outcome.

And supporting her journey towards justice, her BFF, Simone Biles has always stood as a pillar. Biles revealed her advice to Chiles amidst her dark times. She said in an interview with PEOPLE, I did talk to her on one of the days, and I was like, ‘You know what, Jordan, you have to feel all these feels. Don’t let these emotions stop you. This will be the healthiest way to get all of this out.’” Biles then went on to playfully send her the custom-made gold medal that she received from Flavor Flav at the VMAs.

The US gymnastics queen also sent Chiles a snippet of LeBron James’ tweet, where the basketball star voiced his support for the Olympian saying, “Forever THAT GIRL”. Thus, the Paris Olympics surely has been quite a rollercoaster of emotions for Jordan Chiles. But with all the support and love she’s getting, Chiles will look to embrace the positivity and march forward towards the brighter alleys of life.
