Fast forward to now, the highest paid NCAA athlete has gained popularity for her phenomenal gymnastic skills. Balancing both her social media career and LSU studentship like a pro, the 21-year-old looks forward to a grand conclusion. 

Starting her career at New Jersey’s ENA Gymnastics in 2005, little did she know that her gymnastic finesse would shine through and propel her to the zenith of stardom. Now, ahead of the SEC Gymnastics Championships scheduled for March next year, Livvy has notched up her LSU gym game again, and how.

Olivia Dunne stuns fans with her floor routine

Olivia Dunne took to her Instagram handle to post a story which stands as a testament to her extraordinary expertise. The 21-year-old, who scored 9.9 in uneven bars at the 2021 SEC Championships, has stunned fans with her clean floor routine. Captioned the story as “almost that time”, with a ‘soon’ emoji.

The video featured Livvy wearing a black leotard, looking gorgeous, with her hair tied up in a messy bun. Interspersed with dance choreography, the floor routine usually involves a series of gymnastic feats and tumbles. Having said so, the judges mark on the basis of dance elements, theatrics, number of leaps and a clean landing.

Undoubtedly, Livvy’s crisp landing was proof that she has some winning strategies for the upcoming event. Earlier this year, at the SEC Championships, the phenom turned heads with her uneven bars routine. She had scored a season best of 9.875. Though LSU Tigers trailed behind in third, the gymnast was ‘Living the dream’. But, according to her recent post, her glamorous external self has tonnes of struggles, which the media fails to capture.

Livvy’s real side unfurled

Positing a video with the caption “The side the media doesn’t see”, the LSU gymnast baffled fans with her contrasting sides. On one hand, she’s posing with her crown looking fierce as ever on the LSU senior day photoshoot. But on the other hand, she curled up in pain, probably after gym sessions. The reason was to convey the message that a student athlete’s life isn’t a bed of roses, colourful and painless. Though the media always spots her sporting elegance, even while displaying her routines, they are not cognizant of the gymnast’s mental and physical ongoings.
