American athletes are one of the most feared on the global stage. As the Paris Olympics 2024 draws close, the rival athletes are looking for ways to counter the dominant Americans. Gymnastics is the potentially stronger suit for America at the grand stage, but the rivals have started investing in high-tech equipment to match the brilliance of the likes of Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles. One thing’s for sure though, having access to the most updated paraphernalia is a surefire recipe for success that the Germans of late are relying on.

The advent of technology, especially procuring gym equipment that upholds the hallmark of global safety standards, has made gymnastics highly competitive. With only months away now, American rival gymnasts have started using modern gym equipment to counter the American dominance at the Paris Olympics 2024.

In the latest update on X, a gymnastics follower revealed that German gymnast Pauline Schafer had started investing in improved gym equipment for the Paris Olympics 2024. Pauline Schäfer-Betz (GER) has gotten a new set of Gymnova equipment to train on for Paris“, the post read. In the pictures shared by Schafer, one can see new mats, beams, and floors that are a cut above the rest.

With all this in place, Schafer will surely put up a good fight and emerge as a major competitor against formidable American gymnasts at the Paris Olympics. The 27-year-old has represented Germany at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. She was the World Champion in 2017, silver medalist in 2021, and part of the 2015 World bronze-winning team. However, the likes of Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles are determined to continue America’s reign.

American gymnasts to watch out at the Paris Olympics in 2024

The 2023 Artistic Gymnastic Championship saw the USA easily secure their seat for the Paris Olympics. Among other stars, Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Suni Lee will be among the top gymnasts to watch out for. Biles’s Tokyo Olympics campaign was rued by ‘twisties’, and with great form to back her, the queen will at least be laser focused on a couple of golds.

On the other hand, the Tokyo Olympics marked the arrival of Suni Lee in the international gymnastics arena. Lee won three medals in 2021 but has been through an arduous journey since then. As she vies for more golds in Paris, she will be accompanied by fellow gymnast Jordan Chiles. Chiles won a silver medal at the 2020 Olympics, and being in the prime athletic years of her life, she will look to touch the gold this time.
