Suni Lee stepping up—Is she the next big name in gymnastics after Simone Biles?

Fresh off of their success at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Simone Biles and Co. after having the time of their lives. Taking some well-earned time off from competing, Biles, Jordan Chiles, and teammate Suni Lee flocked to the biggest tennis event of the year. As it is on the gymnastics floor, Biles led the way when cameras captured the Olympic champion in attendance on September 4. However, Chiles and Suni Lee weren’t far behind.

The following day, Jordan Chiles made her presence known at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York. After making waves by gracing the WNBA, the GOAT attended the US Open quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Chiles witnessed eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka cruise to victory against USA’s Emma Navarro in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, her fellow Olympic gold medalist, Suni Lee, had her own US Open debut. “My first @usopen with @wmag and @Bumble. Had the best time!!!” Suni Lee shared excitedly in her Instagram story. Posing alongside her sister, Shyenne Lee, the pair looked thrilled to be soaking up the tennis atmosphere. And while Lee was busy thanking her sponsors in the caption, her real focus was on the finals.

Meanwhile, Jordan Chiles is finally putting the bronze debacle behind her, one step at a time. Chiles returned to social media before joining her WWC training partner at the Houston Astros event, which honors Texas-based Olympians. However, the biggest surprise came when Chiles made her ramp debut on September 7 alongside Noah Lyles at the NYFW.

Suni Lee’s teammate also maintained the floral theme as she appeared in a leotard-style outfit with blue floral patterns. However, her bestie Simone Biles didn’t attend the NYFW this year. Yet now things are clear. Whether it’s at sporting events or fashion shows, the golden girls of Team USA are living it up, and competitive gymnastics is not on their mind.
