As an American, it’s almost impossible not to be in awe of Serena Williams. The 23x Grand Slam winner is an icon that everybody is a fan of. On the other hand, gymnastics phenome Simone Biles isn’t too bad herself. With 7 Olympic gold medals under her belt, the Houston native has firmly established herself as a GOAT of the sport. So who wouldn’t be feeling ecstatic when these two stars cross paths?

Biles is currently on the road with her Gold Over America Tour buddies bringing thrill to fans all over the country. Riding high on their Olympic success, the gymnastics stars have been spectacular with their high-flying display of skills. The pop-styled show hit Duluth on October 13, but it wasn’t only the gymnasts who were the biggest stars of the night at the Gas South Arena.

Biles recently shared an image of the G.O.A.T. squad from backstage on her Instagram story, all beaming broadly. Their elation can be understood as the gymnasts can be seen posing candidly alongside the tennis legend Williams along with the latter’s husband Alexis Ohanian, and their daughter Olympia.

Biles tagged Serena in the photo and proclaimed her admiration of Williams by adding several goat emojis in the same. Williams, her venture capitalist husband, and Olympia can be seen soaking in the ambiance as Biles, Jordan Chiles, Joscelyn Roberson, Hezly Rivera, and the other gymnasts all seem to be as excited for having the undisputed tennis GOAT amidst them.

Ohanian also took to Instagram to share how incredible an experience it was for the family as they caught the Gold Over America Tour stars in Duluth. “Awesome night. Don’t miss it if they’re coming to your town. 🥇🥇🥇 And thank you Simone and @jordanchiles for absolutely making Olympia’s MONTH,” gushed the Reddit co-founder in his Instagram post as he noted how they bought all the merch they could from the show.

To highlight his excitement further, Ohanian also tried to make a pancake, albeit a shaky attempt at it, that resembled Olympia in her new leotard. It’s evident that the retired tennis star was making great memories at the Gas South Arena, but was it enough for the much-talked-about team of Simone Biles and Serna Williams to finally make its debut?

In September this year, Williams confessed how life could have been very different for her, and she could have easily ended up being a gymnast instead of a tennis star. She was seen interacting with Biles at the USTA BJK National Tennis Center where they shared their mutual appreciation for each other’s sport. In a social media update, Serena also unveiled what they discussed. When asked who Biles’ choice would be for a tennis partner, she didn’t take any time before answering with Williams’ name.

“Oh definitely, Serena Williams. I mean, she is the Goat in tennis, so that would be my partner if I had to choose,” said Simone during their conversation. Williams also reciprocated and confessed that the All-Around gymnastics queen would definitely be her choice as well. But that wasn’t the first time Serena put her confidence in Simone’s prowess.

After the gymnastics icon stumbled at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago, Williams was quick to come forward, assuring Biles that a fumble along the way didn’t define her.
