While Jordan Chiles had a disappointing end to her Winter Cup dreams, the American gymnast seems to be having some good news coming her way. In what was a proud boast of accomplishments, the 22-year-old recently took to her social media to show off her National Championship ring which she won for UCLA. 

In a recent Instagram story, the athlete buzzed with excitement as she recorded a video of her NCAA ring. It was a shining golden-colored ring, with diamonds embellished all over it. The words, National Champion and UCLA were clearly visible, further enhancing the aesthetic value of the ring.

Chiles expressed her joy at receiving her prized possession as she captioned the story, Ahhh!!!!! It came!!Notably, Chiles had a fantastic year back in 2023, which was also her last season for UCLA. The 22-year-old showed off her exceptional gymnastic skills by scoring perfect 10s. It was this very performance that earned her a couple of wins, making her the National Champion. However, unfortunately, even though Chiles had a great outing, UCLA could not fare well and bowed out of the tournament prematurely.

Going forward, Chiles, who is already an Olympic silver medalist, has her eyes fixated on her second Olympic tryst. Reflecting on her plans, Chiles mentioned that she was going to go all out with her training for the Games. Chiles also postponed her studies as she wanted to keep her focus solemnly training at the World Champions Centre in Texas. The 22-year-old will be the fourth female gymnast from America to qualify in multiple Olympics after 2000. The only three other athletes sharing the honor are Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, and Aly Raisman.

However, the smooth sailing got disrupted somehow while Chiles neared the Winter Cup 2024. Ahead of the commencement of the tournament, Chiles cited a shoulder injury to be the reason for her decision of not competing. Taking to her X account, the UCLA icon stated, Hey guys… I tweaked my shoulder which has prevented me from training at the level I am comfortable with leading up to a competition. At the advice of my (doctors) and coaches, I have decided it is best to pull out of the Winter Cup.” Even though the injury somewhat dented Chiles’ smooth progression, the newly received present is sure to boost the 22-year-old’s morale to a great extent.
