In July, LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne launched the “Livvy Fund”. Now, recently announced an exclusive partnership with Accelerator Active Energy, making it the first brand to initiate NIL deals through the Livvy Fund.
Dunne, driven by a desire to support her fellow gymnasts, collaborated with Bayou Traditions and Accelerator to establish criteria for selecting eight gymnasts, including Konnor McClain, the reigning all-around national gymnastics champion. As per People News, Dunne in an interview, mentioned, “I’ve been fortunate enough to have all these different opportunities with NIL and to have experience because it could be very foreign to other athletes at the start of it”.
The Livvy Fund, introduced earlier this year, connects female student-athletes at LSU with leading brands to secure their own NIL deals. Olivia Dunne’s prominent position is reflected in her impressive NIL valuation of $3.2 million, the highest for a female student-athlete and the third-highest nationally.
Dunne stated that LSU has “helped so much throughout NIL after the rule changed” and that the school even has an entire department dedicated to helping their student-athletes navigate NIL deals. She further added, “They’ve been nothing but supportive, so I figured I’d give back to the school and the program that has helped me so much.“
Notably, only USC?s Bronny James ($5.9 million) and Colorado?s Shedeur Sanders ($4.8 million) surpass her in valuation. Additionally, fellow LSU Tiger Angel Reese, a women?s basketball star, recently signed with Reebok and is valued at $1.7 million.
