The Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships 2024 was indeed a special show for Jordan Chiles. Donning a vibrant and sparkly leotard inspired by Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour on Day 1, she trumpeted herself as a true-blue Queen Bey fan and shined in the public eye. Moreover, it may have garnered immense publicity for the ace gymnast as a marketing whizz suggested that she could possibly be the face of Beyonce’s upcoming line of beauty products. Yet, Jordan’s all-round show appeared both, a hit and a likely miss.
From the athletic lens, Chiles’ performance fell short of the higher ranks as she finished in the 7th spot with an average 55.1-pointer. Regardless, mother Gina Chiles believes her daughter was ‘fantastic.’
Taking to her X account, Gina Chiles has hailed her daughter Jordan’s Xfinity showdown. However, it isn’t a conventional appreciation post, as Gina says she was ‘A little nervous’ while she penned it. But why is that? Clarifying the same, the star gymnast’s mother added, ‘cuz y’all can have harsh opinions,’ which was evidently directed towards the social media audience.

Apparently, Gina seemed bothered by the mixed fan reactions that Jordan’s Beyonce-inspired looks were garnering. But she agreed that the fans ‘have the right to‘ express what they felt. Nonetheless, lauding her daughter certainly weighed more for the mother than her fear of the critics. And thus, she remarked with pride, ‘But y’all saw what we did! She was really fantastic yesterday.’
She even addressed Jordan’s ‘little blip’ on the mat, which as per Gina was a minor slip-up as the gymnast was aiming for perfection. Followed by this, she reiterated in capital letters that Jordan ‘LOOKED AMAZING.’ And that ‘only she could pull off that leo.’
A little nervous to jump on this app cuz y’all can have harsh opinions (and you have right to them). But y’all saw what we did! She was really fantastic yesterday- a little blip trying to be perfect at the very end but LOOKED AMAZING! And only she could pull off that leo 🔥

Previously, Jordan has faced a fair bit of trolling, as recently as November 2023, about UCLA’s overhype. But the star seemed placid in her response. And while her mother’s concern was natural this time around, its safe to say that Jordan’s new avatar is too chic for her to be bothered by any of the nitpicking.
Jordan Chiles’ Day 1 at the Xfinity Championships was a mixed bag
Jordan Chiles’ recent appearance at the Dickies Arena has underlined the fact that she can do it both- on the gymnastic mats and bedazzle the fashion world. The 23-year-old struck attention with her 4400 Swarovski crystal-embellished leotard. Chiles got it custom-made from GK Elite by taking a cue from one of Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour looks as a reference. And with it, she certainly made an iconic fashion statement in Fort Worth.

While her style game was on point, Jordan suffered a slight setback in her performance. Bagging a 14.5 to be slated second below Biles, the gymnast performed exceptionally on the uneven bars. However, not making the cut into the top five on either of the balance beam, vault, or floor exercise sections, Jordon ended in the 7th position.
In this high-significance event ahead of the US Olympic Team Trials, Jordan’s performance has been worrying her fans. But, one thing remains clear: Jordan Chiles’ stellar skills do not need any backing up or moral consolation. She is a supremely talented gymnast who is sure to live up to her reputation. Moreover, her Beyonce fangirl moment has also left an indelible impression. But can she find a spot at the top of the table by the end of the event?
