After winning the gold medal in Tokyo 2020 in the floor exercise routine, the 22-year-old earned global fame. An initiative designed to promote the achievements of young girls in sports and provide them with opportunities that they wouldn’t have had otherwise. Olympic gymnast’s efforts towards elevating female athletics find love from all

Jade Carey recently took to her Instagram and wrote, “launching the I Am Cracker Jill Contest to champion the unique accomplishments of women and girls in sports. Sharing a bit about my personal sports journey here and why this initiative means so much to me”. “I Am Cracker Jill” is a contest initiated by Cracker Jack to help fund the sports dreams of young girls, where after applying, any promising female athlete could tell their story and win the award.

Carey also thanked Women’s Sports Foundation, without whose contribution this initiative wouldn’t have been possible. In the clip, Carey talked about how she was fortunate enough from a very young age to avail every opportunity required to be a national-level gymnast. Her parents owned a gym, so it wasn’t very difficult for her to start training from a young age.

She said, “I found my passion and pursued it. Every part of my daily routine is now shaped around being the best I can be in my sport”. But in order for others to reach there, she got involved with this noble task.

Earlier this year, she also joined Jordan Chiles and her others in wishing Ellie Downie a great life ahead after she retired at a young age. She will now look forward to repeating her feat in Paris Olympics 2024. And while at it, she is also ensuring more and more girls reach their goals.
