Legendary gymnast Trinity Thomas has made headlines for achieving the most perfect 10s in her NCAA gymnastics career. However, in April, the 22-year-old faced a shocking setback when she got her leg injured while performing a floor routine. Despite the odds, Thomas made her grand comeback and achieved her 28th perfect 10 score at the NCAA Championships. After her amazing gymnastics career, Thomas has decided to give her life a new direction. However, she is not changing her sport.
On June 27, Trinity Thomas talked to CBS Sports Network, explaining her career plans in the gymnastics arena. The 22-year-old will be remaining a part of her team at the University of Florida but in a different role.

After creating a great career, Thomas told CBS Sports Network that she is planning to join the University of Florida as a student coach at the Gator?s gymnastics team. Along with training her team, she would also balance her academic career.
Thomas who completed her bachelor?s in applied physiology and kinesiology in 2022, achieved her master?s degree in May 2023. She completed her master?s in health education and behavior. Now, the gymnast desires to complete her second master?s degree from the reputed University of Florida. So, alongside training the Gator?s gymnastics team, she will be pursuing her second master?s degree.
Thomas will become a part of the coaching staff, which will include head coach Jenny Rowland. Nevertheless, the group will also have assistant coach Owen Field and volunteer coach Jeremy Miranda. Moreover, one of Thomas?s former teammates, Megan Skaggs, will also be joining the gymnast as the assistant head coach.
Although the gymnast is transitioning her career into coaching, she has been a prominent member of the team. In April, when the four-time National Team member got injured, her head coach showed massive support to the gymnast.
Jenny Rowland extended support after Trinity Thomas?s injury
This year, the Gators gymnastics team was a few steps away from capturing their first national championship since 2015. However, Trinity?s injury had put the team in second place. But according to the rules, the top two gymnast’s were eligible to advance to the championship. Hence, the Gators moved to the next level.

Amidst the several events, the team was questioned about Thomas?s participation. Supporting the gymnast, head coach, Jenny Rowland told the media, ? she’s definitely getting better. ” She added, “It is still a day-to-day basis and we’re just doing what we can to protect her to get her healthy and we’ll see if she’s in a position to go forward.”
Rowland indicated that the team did not want to rush their all-rounder gymnast and gave her the time she needed to heal.
