When the two brothers joined hands to establish TopGolf as a sport, their primary focus was to make it to the Olympics. As a redesigned driving range, TopGolf solved several golfing issues that the core Golf sport couldn’t. Tiger Woods, the numerous golf record holder, once opened up about this unusual sport being his favorite. After drawing several enthusiasts to the driving company, a special Olympic update has the world at its knees.

Just like the traditional golf course, TopGolf also boasts similar techniques, but in an enhanced way. Especially involving the younger generation, Tiger’s favorite sport has a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Besides, just like golf, the unique sport invites everyone into the game. On a mission to soar higher and bring more joy to people, TopGolf announces a noble collaboration.

TopGolf Chief Brand Officer Geoff Cottrill said, “We have a responsibility now more than ever to invite everyone into the game of golf, and our partnership with Special Olympics will help us further unleash the power of play and bring more joy to more people.” The statement clearly asserts that the specially built athletes finally get a scope to play TopGolf through Special Olympics Unified Sports. As the first branded and global medaled event, this sport focused on being more inclusive.

From January 1, 2024, Special Olympics athletes can participate in the worldwide events of TopGolf, especially the US-based ones. Not willing to wait till the next season, the highly awaited news brought smiles to the faces of the special golfers. Moreover, the practice sessions at nationwide TopGolf venues are already underway.

Furthermore, TopGolf’s popularity has increased with time. In no time, the unique golf driving range game can surpass core golf. Especially drawing the younger generation to the game, the golf industry reached great heights.

The golf industry has had success luring both younger, junior players and seniors to the game. The traditional golf industry has faced several difficulties when it came to marketing itself to millennial players. However, considering that 54% of TopGolf players are within the 18 and 34 age range, it seems that the company has cracked the code of making itself appealing.

With 51% of all guests being non-golfers, Topgolf offers a different platform. Allowing beginners to participate in the game reduces the pressure and chances of embarrassment. Additionally, 75% of non-golfers who kickstarted Topgolf nodded to shifting their interest to a real golf course.
