Three-time Olympic medalist, US skier, Lindsey Vonn retired back in 2019, after an astonishing career. Notably, apart from her breathtaking skills, the Winter Olympics icon is also famous for her relationship with legendary golf player, Tiger Woods.

Among her other celebrity acquaintances, Lindsey shares a close relationship with ‘The Rock.’ Lindsey revealed how the former wrestler and Hollywood fame, Dwayne’s answer in an interview, was the beginning of their bond.

Lindsey Vonn recalls the roots of her friendship with Dwayne ‘The Rock’

In a recent interview for her book ‘Rise: My Story’, Vonn was asked how she became friends with the actor. She revealed, ”We became friends after he actually did a Sports Illustrated interview and they asked him who could keep up with you in the gym and for some reason, he said my name out of all the names in the world, which I was very surprised by.”

“But ever since then, we have been friends.”

Further, she opened up about the voice memos he sends her. ”I love getting his voice memos. He sung me happy birthday before, and he could work on his tune a little bit.”

Notably, Lindsey is often spotted working out with ‘The Rock’, as she trains at his gym the ‘Iron Paradise.’

Lindsey can always count on ‘The Rock’

37-year-old Lindsey referred to Dwayne as the one person she can always rely on, as someone who’s been a mentor to her. “I’ve learned a lot from him. He’s always been someone I can call anytime, which is pretty outstanding. And he’s like everything that he appears to be on TV and in movies. He’s just the nicest human,” she said.

Throwing it back to her career, Vonn appeared in four Winter Olympic games from 2002 to 2018. Remarkably, she dominated the sport for decades, with her unbelievable skills. However, she won’t be competing at the Beijing Olympics in 2022, as she has moved on from the sport. Vonn is now focusing on a business career, and has also launched her own book, ‘Rise: My Story.’
