The Reno Rodeo is a gem of Western America. Each year, this historical event draws out a humongous crowd, with many renowned figures attending as well. This year, on Friday evening, the famous bull riding event received a special guest, the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, along with his wife, Casey DeSantis, and their three kids as well.
The Reno Rodeo is a 10-day event that has always been famous in Nevada. This year, the event was made even more special. The governor of Florida, and maybe even the future President of the United States, Ron DeSantis, graced the occasion. Ron DeSantis, who is a presidential candidate for the Republican party, excited Reno Rodeo attendees with his presence.
Bull Riding event gets an esteemed guest

According to a Tweet by a Twitter handle with the name @RedStates3, the governor’s family graced the pits of the Reno Rodeo with their esteemed presence, as the Rodeo was a stop in the ongoing presidential campaign. The governor, his wife, and his three kids, Madison, 6, Mason, 5, and Mamie, 3, were given special seats in a box, where the other rodeo attendees could have a meet and greet and even take pictures with the family.

Before heading to the Reno Rodeo, the DiSanto couple also sat down and had drinks with veterans in Reno at VFW Post 9211, also known as ‘The Bunker’. The former rodeo president, Scott Patterson, revealed that DiSanto was the first ever presidential candidate to grace the rodeo with their presence. According to The Daily Mail, Ron DiSanto also revealed that his children were huge fans of bull riding, which comes as the last event of the day. Hence, they wanted to stay back till the end.
Ron DiSanto looked right at home in the rodeo bleachers while sporting blue jeans, black boots that he seems to favor, and a white zip sweatshirt over his shirt. His children also looked adorable in matching ‘RD24’ navy blue shirts promoting their father’s 2024 bid for the Republican presidential nomination. His wife, Casey, wore a zip sweatshirt in blue with a t-shirt and jeans. The former Nevada Attorney General, Adam Laxalt, was also seen in attendance with DiSanto.
A rodeo with a rich history
The Reno Rodeo has always been a coveted event for the people of Nevada. They don’t miss a chance to go into full cowboy mode when the bull riding competition comes around. In addition to bull riding, the rodeo also has bareback riding, Bronc riding, and barrel racing. The Reno Rodeo was first organized in the year 1919. It is called the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West”, according to their official website.

Each year, this historic rodeo is organized at the Reno Livestock & Events Center and attracts a crowd of over half a million people throughout the 10 days when it is held. The PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) sanctions the Reno Rodeo. The event comes in the top ten money earners for the organization.
