It doesn’t take more than a stroke of bad luck to turn a perfectly lazy stroll into a horrifying one. The world of a horse rider named Lilly Tsang flipped upside down when her horse Horace touched an electric fence. In an interview with Horse and Hound recently, Tsang disclosed all details of the incident.
It was in the month of March in 2021 when Tsang was riding on her horse Horace in a field that had electric fences. Recalling how the incident unfolded in a moment’s time, Horace’s foot accidentally came in touch with the wired fences. The more Horace tried to get away, the more he got entangled. Here is what happened.

Tsang recalled, “I don’t know why, to this day, but for whatever reason, he touched the electric fence with his nose.” Continuing, as she recounted the story with Horse and Hound, Tsang knew that this is only the beginning of the ensuing danger.
Things escalated when Horace’s toe had got caught in the fence which he tried to free. But all to no avail. “He was spinning, the fence was attached to his foot and he wrapped the fencing around my leg”, she added. This made Tsang fall on the floor and Horace then galloped to the field, his toe still stuck to the fence.
Further, Tsang implied that while Horace was galloping, the fence luckily dislodged from her foot. Post this, Tsang narrated, “I went after the horse-and of course he was in the wrong field and galloping around- and thought, ‘That’s going to hurt in the morning.’” Post this, Tsang sought medical treatment and undergo two operations for the burn on her leg that made the skin turn black.
Afterwards, Tsang elaborated how this incident took place despite her being careful. “It was something I did every day, I had yard boots on, trousers, I’m always careful and it was a freak accident; in the blink of an eye, it all changed”, Tsang admitted.
