Another Comeback Story From the Equestrian World

As reported by FOX 5, this story is about Del Mar Horsepark, which is a major equestrian facility in San Diego, California. They had to shut down their services in the year 2020 due to the COVID outbreak and were on the run to rebuild themselves. This HITS Grand Prix Park has made the announcement of their comeback. They are officially reopening this month. Park, which was originally opened in 1980, continued to provide its services for four decades and was a major hit.

They had to cancel their 20-show contracts for the year 2021, which was a major blow for them. On which Joe Norick, manager of Del Mar Horsepark, stated, “With California, there were some issues environmentally; they wanted to look at some different things, and of course we had COVID.” Talking about the reopening, he further added, “It’s special. This is a very special place.” They have also provided a long list of events that are being listed in the park.

The Long List of Events

They will be hosting the Del Mar Sunshine Classic from July 12 to July 16, which will have events like the USHJA Jr./Am Hunter Derby, the National Hunter Derby, and the Sunshine Grand Prix. Then there will be the Del Mar Summer Festival I from August 2nd to August 6th. From August 9th to 13th, there will be Del Mar Summer Festival II. The Del Mar Classic I-CSI2 will take place from August 23–27. Then Del Mar Classic II-CSI2 from August 30 to September 3rd.

All of these events will be National to Premier level with the participation of Level 5 Jumpers. Apart from that, there is a long list of other events and a weekly schedule of events. These upcoming events and their comeback will become a major resurgence story and will inspire others.
