As per Blood Horse, horse Endlessly made the day for his trainer after it clinched the Grade 3 Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes. Endlessly bided its time at the rear of the racetrack for the initial half-mile while anticipation built among spectators. Then, with a surge of speed around the far turn, it clinched its victory. The race was completed in a swift 1:35.28, with an impressive 2 1/4-length margin of victory. Talking about his win, McCarthy stated, “He’s continued to get better since his first start.” He adds, “He’s taken his lessons well.” This $109,200 trainer also added that he was optimistic about the win.
Lord Bullington, another horse trained by McCarthy, was placed second in the race, while the favorite Boltage finished third. In the initial seven races of the Del Mar week, McCarthy won three races. He was happy with how things ended for him after a disappointing start. The pair of McCarthy and Endlessly is just getting started, as the horse made its debut earlier this year and has a long journey ahead in its career.
