It is common for a software titan like Bill Gates to invest in the world of information and technology. Gates is also celebrated for his philanthropic works across the globe. However, not many know about his stints in the equestrian world. To support his daughter’s passion for equestrian sports, from gifting her new horses to several acres of horse farms, Gates has splurged without a second thought. One such stable is situated in Wellington called the EverGates Stable which Gates purchased in 2019.

In 2022, Bill Gates sold one of these properties which was located in Wellington after two years of its purchase. Through this sale, he made a profit of $5 million, which was just a minuscule addition to his sea of wealth.

In 2022, Kevin Minco, the trustee of 21W1 Trust, sold the Wellington equestrian estate. Gates had purchased the property for $21 million which was eventually sold for $26 million. The property covering 5.5 acres of land was located at 13,945 Quarter Horse Trail. It was sold to Maroon Partners from Delaware.

This property houses 11,488 sq. ft. of buildings. These included stables and a house with four bedrooms with bathrooms and another half bathroom. Other than the Wellington equestrian estate, Gates owns other properties in the gated society in Mallet Hill. As per the records, Gates trust owns 3060 and 3155 Mallet Hill Court properties.

Reportedly, the property sold in 2022 was a part of Jennifer Gates’ EverGates Stable which she uses to train for her competitions. In the past, another property housing horses owned by Jennifer Gates was gifted to her by her father.

Back in 2018, Jennifer Gates graduated from Stanford University with a degree in human biology. After her study at Stanford University, Jennifer had plans to move to New York to pursue further education. Ensure that his daughter doesn’t have to give up on her equestrian career while in New York, Bill Gates got her a horse farm.

As a graduation present, Gates gifted her a horse farm in North Salem. The 124-acre farm cost the software titan $15.82 million. It was located in the Westchester town of North Salem.
