While equestrian is one of the most exciting sports, not everyone is capable enough to brave this unique sport. Recently, the equestrian world was saddened by the demise of a talented horseman. This sudden demise has shocked the equestrian community, as they were already in grief after a female staff died at Michael Owen’s Manor House. For the unversed, Owen is a former soccer player who is a massive horse racing fan and owns a horseracing club.
Per several reports, the man died in a serious riding accident at Robert Cowell’s Newmarket stables. This equestrian facility is located at Bottisham Heath Stud, Six Mile Bottom, New Market, Suffolk. And 40-year-old, Mazar Allauddin, had fallen from his horse and was later declared dead. Below are the details of the gruesome accident that took place on March 29th.
An incident that caught 40-year-old Mazar Allauddin in the jaws of death
Per a report published in racingpost.com, Mazar was a worker employed by Robert Cowell’s farm to manage the horses and had remained in their employ for 2-3 weeks before passing away. The incident came as a shock, considering the good reputation of Robert Cowell’s New Market horses, which have secured 509 career wins where Cowell had won in the Group-1 event four times. In a public statement, the police stated,

However, Allauddin was pronounced dead by medical personnel on the spot. Further, the police statement informed the public,

“We are all devastated here at the yard as you can imagine,” he said. Describing Allaudin as a “smiley, cheerful person, “Cowell conveyed his sorrow to Allaudin’s family and friends. This is not the only incident that has pained the equestrian community. While Mackay was galloping confidently on her horse, Gusto, passing through Poyntzfield, Mackay experienced a painful fall. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old rider died immediately after the incident.
Mackay not only managed the Facebook page of the Caledonian Club but also was a cadet of Fortrose Detachment from 2006. The news of her death was announced by her father, Walter Goodwin, on social media. Responding to his post, fans gave their condolences on social media, describing Mackay as a person who died doing what she loved.
