John French and Babylon, better known by the moniker ‘Crumbles’, in the barn, are an explosive duo formed over many jumps and shared successes. Their adventure culminated when the champion horse powerhouse and French won their first 2021 WCHR Professional Challenge at Capital Challenge (Maryland). Their victories came home in 2022 and again in 2023 when French won his third straight WCHR Pro Challenge. There’s no denying that they make quite a compelling ride or die team, and recently, French had a lot of tidbits to spill about his equine compatriot.

The gifted equestrian eventually won National Equestrian of the Year, but he did it in style as well, riding the crest of victory from the winner’s circle to delivering his enthralling speech, all while drawing allusions to his life and spewing rib-tickling anecdotes.
