The legendary racehorse completed half a century since he won the hearts of Equestrian fans with his Triple Crown Victory in 1973. And to commemorate this momentous occasion, the Kentucky Derby Museum has unveiled a permanent exhibit that pays tribute to one of the greatest racehorses of all time. 

The news of the newly developed exhibit has grabbed the attention of horse racing enthusiasts from all across the globe.

The Kentucky Derby Museum is considered a mecca of Equestrianism. It has successfully preserved the long-enduring legacy of the elite sport. And on Friday, the museum will add another glorifying moment to the long list of the iconic Sovenuires it contains. As a leading museum devoted to the Kentucky Derby, its most recent exhibition would describe the journey of the Secretariat and its mark on racing history.

A part of the exhibit would solely provide opportunities for the visitors to delve into the life and legacy of this iconic thoroughbred. The iconic museum located in Louisville would open the special exhibit for the general public on Friday.

According to WDRB, the brand-new exhibit is a gold mine of antiques and mementos that recounts the Secretariat’s extraordinary journey. From trophies and pictures to iconic moments from the stallion’s illustrious career, there are a plethora of items related that would take fans down memory lane.

Fans can witness the legendary races

One of the highlights of the exhibit is the visuals from its three Triple Crown iconic victories. The visitors can learn a lot about the horse’s owners. The great stallion won the Kentucky Derby by a record-breaking margin of two and a half lengths. He then won the Preakness Stakes by an incredible margin of two and three-fourths lengths and the Belmont Stakes by an incredible margin of 31 lengths.

Until this day, no horse has matched Secretariat’s domination on the racecourse during his Triple Crown run. As fans are excited to see the 149th edition of the biggest horse racing event on the globe, the new exhibit added another feather to the crown of the sport’s legacy.
