As reported by THE CHRONICLES OF THE HORSE, Bloom’s path to equestrian excellence has been strewn with hurdles that would have deterred the faint of heart. Throughout her life, she faced numerous setbacks, including three battles with breast cancer and a hand injury sustained during training. On top of her personal struggles, her husband’s diagnosis of multiple myeloma added another layer of hardship to overcome. She said, “We’ve had a lot of health issues in our household this past year, so I haven’t been in the saddle for very long.”

Despite these daunting obstacles, Bloom’s determination never wavered.  By securing the Jane Savoie Adult Amateur Grant, she not only affirms her own resilience but also honors the legacy of Jane Savoie, who faced a similar journey.

In her quest for excellence, Bloom’s commitment extends beyond the equestrian arena. She has enrolled in a non-profit organization that provides specialized fitness training for cancer patients. Bloom strives to maintain optimal fitness levels, ensuring she is prepared to embrace the challenges that lie ahead.
