His Italian, impeccable as it is, his English is quite sub par. He took to revealing how he battled that war.

Recently, Dettori was invited to be a guest on the iconic show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’. The 3x British Champion seems to have accepted the invitation and is exploring the big, bad jungle now. He recently released a clip from the show, revealing his secret sauce to learning English.

Frankie Dettori reveals his secret to learning English

Dettori took to Twitter to reveal his secret to learning English. “GET OUTTA MY PUB! Learning English the @bbceastenders way…”, he wrote. The jockey is currently starring as a guest in the popular show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ and revealed the secret during a discussion with other guests.

Dettori states that he learned the phrase ‘What is this?’ and, using that, he learned about other wording iterations as well. The 52-year-old then revealed the name of the legendary show, which helped him master the British language in an Italian accent. “I learned What’s This? This is how I learned English. Then I watched TV. Your thing, EastEnders.”, the British Champion revealed.

EastEnders is a popular British TV show focusing on the daily lives of local residents and their families. Running since 1985, EastEnders has over 5000+ episodes and is widely regarded for its portrayal of British culture, language, and accent. While Dettori can fluently speak English now, he is basking in his time on the adventurous show.

Dettori rocks in ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’

Frankie Dettori has achieved tremendous success in his 3-decade long horse racing career. The Italian jockey has been crowned British Flat Racing Champion three times in his career. With over 287 G1 wins, Dettori recently emerged triumphant at the Breeders’ Cup as well. However, the suave jockey can be seen in a heartfelt tête-à-tête with his contestants, brewing camaraderie and forging bonds.
